Essential Duties: Provide quality medical care to all patients presenting at facility with physician supervision as required. Provide continuity of care for patients. Provides patient education. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Review Laboratory, Radiology, and other patient testing results.Initial and date all reports being reviewed. Complete Insurance Forms as required. Participate in Quality Improvement activities. Complete Patient Charts legibly and provide adequate documentation. Respond to patients' telephone questions and requests timely. Demonstrates knowledge of and abides by federal and state regulations that apply to practice environment and infection control. Perform physical examinations, record medical histories, and formulate accurate diagnoses under physician's and Medical Director's supervision. Review patient records. Establish presumptive diagnosis. Effectively develop and implement patient care treatment plans. Participate in the development and implementation offacility policies and procedures. Uses Universal Precautions including personal protective equipment for anticipated contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Completion of an accredited two- (2) year physician's assistant program required. Experience: 1 year of Physician Assistant experience preferred. License/Certification: Currently licensed as a Physician's Assistant in this state. Current BLS certification required.
