Job Title: BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician Company: Gundersen Lutheran Health System Location: La Crosse, WI Description: Gundersen Lutheran Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin is seeking a dynamic board certified/board eligible infectious disease physician to join three other ID clinicians and two Ph.D. researchers in Western Wisconsins premier medical center. We are looking for a candidate to share one in four call for inpatient infectious disease consultative work. In addition, the candidate would share an infectious disease outpatient practice which includes follow-up for acute infections from urgent care and the emergency ward, a small HIV practice, travel medicine, and hospital follow-up visits for patients with complicated infections. We also have an expanding Wound Center within our clinic of which we are part of the attending staff. We are intimately involved in the Infection Control program and have a fledgling antimicrobial stewardship program in conjunction with our pharmacy department. Our clinical microbiology lab is under the directorship of the ID Section. In addition, we have a separate modern microbiology research laboratory.
