The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children (IFHC) has an opening for a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Nephrologist to join a group of pediatric nephrologists in a well established and growing clinical practice in Northern Virginia and Metropolitan Washington, DC. The Department of Pediatrics at IFHC is affiliated with the University of Virginia at Charlottesville, and the Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, we are also the Division of Pediatric Nephrology for Georgetown University Hospital, Department of pediatrics. Pediatric Nephrology is part of a Pediatric multi-specialty practice and offers complete clinical programs for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital and acquired acute and chronic kidney disease at all stages, including end-stage renal disease. Inpatient consultation is provided to large and highly rated PICU, NICU, and general Pediatric services. Outpatient diagnostic renal ultrasound, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and all forms of renal replacement therapy are provided by the nephrology service. Renal transplantation is provided at IFHC by an active transplant program with four full-time surgeons. Both active teaching in a well-established Pediatric Residency Program and clinical research are encouraged. IFHC has recently been named as a top 25 Children´s hospital in national rankings, and IFH is perennially ranked as a top 100 hospital in the US.
