The Neurosurgery service is part of Franciscan Skemp Healthcare's Neuroscience Department, which includes three adult neurologists in addition to our current neurosurgeons.   The position offers close collegial, supportive and educational ties to the Neurosurgery Department at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The Medical Center in La Crosse has 250 beds, including a 16-bed ICU/CCU, cardiac cath lab, day surgical unit and rehabilitation unit. The Emergency Medical and Trauma Center is staffed 24 hours by ER physicians. Radiology services include interventional, MRI, CT, ultrasound and angiography. The clinic and hospital are physically connected. La Crosse, city of 52,000 with a metropolitan area of 120,000, offers year-round family activities with excellent schools, including two universities and a technical college, in the beautiful Upper Mississippi River Valley.
