A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Oceanside, NY.
The desired start date is July 1, 2025, or as soon as possible after. This is a night shift position with a 7-on, 7-off schedule, with at least Friday through Sunday coverage required. The role includes in-house call, with 6070% of the time covering one CRNA overnight for both Labor & Delivery and the OR, and 30% focused on L&D only. The position is fairly independent, with minimal medical direction. The facility handles primarily OB cases and is a Level 2 trauma center, though traumas are infrequent. It averages 2,200 deliveries annually, with six birthing rooms and two ORs. A New York state medical license is required.
