A facility is seeking a cardiothoracic surgeon for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in Ogden, Utah.

This Utah facility is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiovascular Surgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage only (no clinic) on specific dates in 2025. Candidates must hold a Utah state license, Utah DEA, and be trained in both cardiac and thoracic surgery, as the facility a Level II trauma center requires expertise in both areas. The site averages about 80 heart surgeries per year (down from 110 pre-COVID) with a daily patient volume of around 5, supported by a team of 1 APP, 1 MA, 1 MOS, and 1 RN. The EMR used is Meditech. Surgeons limiting their practice to only cardiac or thoracic procedures will not be considered.
