Radiologist

Location: Columbus, OH

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified/eligible Radiologist to join our dynamic and growing medical imaging department. The Radiologist will be responsible for interpreting medical images, performing radiological procedures, and providing expert consultation to referring physicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including but not limited to X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine studies.
  • Prepare accurate and timely radiology reports, providing clear and concise findings and diagnoses.
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures and image-guided interventions (e.g., biopsies, drain placements) as required and credentialed.
  • Collaborate effectively with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and quality assurance measures within the radiology department.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Stay current with advancements in radiology techniques and technologies through continuing medical education.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of protocols and procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor radiology technologists and other support staff as needed.
  • Contribute to the academic and research activities of the department, if applicable.
  • Comply with all hospital/clinic policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Successful completion of a residency program in Radiology.
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Radiology by the [Relevant Indian Medical Council/Board].
  • [Specify any required sub-specialty training or fellowship, e.g., Neuroradiology, Body Imaging, Musculoskeletal Radiology, etc., if applicable].
  • Valid medical license to practice in Maharashtra, India.

  • Proficiency in using radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in a hospital setting.
  • Experience with advanced imaging techniques and technologies.
  • Research experience and publications.
  • Teaching experience.
