Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center is searching for Supplemental Surgeons. Good Samaritan is known for its specialty programs and clinical excellence. Legacy Good Samaritan features nationally renowned doctors in cancer care, kidney transplantations, neurology, ophthalmology, weight-loss surgery, robotic surgery, rehabilitation and more, plus Oregons only 24-hour urgent care thats located alongside an emergency room, with access to emergency care if needed.

Portland is a sophisticated city offering diverse cultural activities and communities that appeal to a wide variety of needs and tastes. Beautiful parks and more biking paths per mile than any city in the US, promote an active lifestyle. The temperate four seasons, spectacular surroundings of the Columbia River Gorge and majestic Cascade Mountains, as well as proximity to ocean beaches and long skiing seasons make this an opportunity for both a dynamic position and a wonderful lifestyle.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide surgical assessment and treatment for patients requiring general surgery services.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
  • Completion of general surgery residency.
  • Medical License and DEA for the applicable state.
  • Membership on LPH Medical Staff.
  • Board Certified or board eligible in general surgery.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • ATLS preferred.
  • Follows guidelines set forth in Legacys Values in Action.
