OB/GYN Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Lafayette, Louisiana

A facility with a level III NICU is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Lafayette, LA.
This position involves 24-hour shifts where hospitalists provide GYN coverage but are not required to perform circumcisions. Hospitalists are needed for first assist, with first assist support and backup available. The facility averages 269 total hospital deliveries per month, with OBHG hospitalists managing about 39 deliveries monthly, making up 14.5% of total deliveries. OBHG hospitalists also handle an average of 427 encounters and 431 procedures monthly, with 19.2% involving high-risk diagnoses. MFM support is available 24/7, and the facility includes 21 L&D beds, 31 Mother/Baby beds, and 31 NICU beds, frequently receiving maternal transfers. The hospital hosts Family Practice and OB/GYN residency programs (LSU students), and hospitalists will serve as faculty for these residents while participating in LA IHI/AIM Perinatal Improvement Committees.
