Family Medicine Physician Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Gainesville, Florida

A mental health facility is seeking a family medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.

This is a 3-month assignment (with a possible 3-month extension) starting ASAP, offering a 40-hour workweek, typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The role is open to NP or PA candidates (FM or IM background considered) with Florida license, DEA, and BLS certifications. There is no call required. The provider will see 810 adult male patients per day, managing injury, acute illness, follow-ups, physicals, standard mental health/corrections, chronic care, diabetes, and H&Ps. The practice uses paper charts and HCS for prescribing, with onsite MAs, RNs, NPs, and MDs for support.
