Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a Family Medicine Physician and/or Internal Medicine (IM) Physician! Our Physicians provide comprehensive ambulatory medical services to patients and families; delivers medical services to patients, with a variety of health care needs. Duties:Provides comprehensive ambulatory medical services within the scope of Internal Medicine for the purpose of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Examines patient for symptoms of organic or congenital disorders. Determines nature and extent of injury or disorder, referring to diagnostic images and laboratory tests. Prescribes medication and recommends dietary and activity program, as indicated by diagnosis. Refers patient to medical specialist when indicated. Assists clinic administration in developing and implementing programs relevant to providing health care for Native Americans served by the clinic. Participates in appropriate in-service education programs for health professionals at the clinic. Maintains confidentiality, security and integrity of patient data and information. Maintains licensure and appropriate certifications.
Qualifications:Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, medical marijuana license holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for this position. Must align with OKCIC vision, mission, and core values. Must hold a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited college or university. Must have documentation of completion of residency in Family Medicine from an accredited residency program. Must hold an unrestricted professional license in the State of Oklahoma; Must be Board-certified or Board-eligible for certification by the American Board of Family Medicine Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required. Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
