Duties:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (includes, but is not limited to, the following) Provides routine & diagnostic medical examinations and treatment. Provides a wide range of medical and health services including assessment of patients, diagnosis, and treatment, evaluating the effectiveness of care, and changing or modifying treatment. Refers patients to specialty care, as indicated. Maintains competency and renders broad-based care within their scope of services and generally accepted standards of care. Provides direction and assistance to personnel assisting in the care of patients. Follows privacy act guidelines as established by HIPAA & other privacy regulations.

Qualifications:REQUIREMENTS: Education: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Degree is required. Professional Certification required; prefer Family Practice Certification but will consider Pediatrics or Internal Medicine Certification. Experience: No experience required. Certification/License: License to practice as a Physician (MD or DO) in the State of Michigan or ability to obtain by date of hire required. Must have no previous suspension or revocation of license. DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) License or ability to obtain within six weeks of hire required. BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR Pro (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Pro) Certification or ability to obtain date-of hire required. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification is preferred. Will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check. Must maintain a good moral character standing. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
