Position Summary

Department of Radiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an outstanding individual to join our Neuroradiology section. Discover what makes this remarkable academic medical center one of the best places to work in the Southwest!

In-person, hybrid, and remote options all available, as well as academic and staff (100% clinical) positions.

Clinical responsibilities will focus primarily on multimodal neuroimaging interpretation with opportunities to assist in other subspecialties according to interest or expertise. It is desirable that the candidate have expertise in advanced neuroimaging techniques, including functional MRI, DTI, MR Spectroscopy, and CT/MR perfusion, along with basic procedural skills in fluoroscopic guided lumbar puncture and myelography. Neuroradiologists serve as primary consultants to multiple subspecialty clinical services, including adult and child neurology, neurosurgery, and otolaryngology, and our team participates in several multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards each week. Research opportunities include diverse and growing translational imaging and image processing facilities and are supported by dedicated research and publications staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for this position are as follows:

MD, DO, or equivalent

Able to obtain state licensure in the state of New Mexico.

ABR board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by contract start date

Completed Fellowship in Neuroradiology, hold a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology (ABR CAQ), be eligible for ABR CAQ by contract start date, or have equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications are as follows:

Expertise in advanced neuroimaging techniques including functional MRI, DTI, MR spectroscopy and CT/MR perfusion, along with basic procedural skills in fluoroscopic guided lumbar puncture and myelography

A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.

Desire to work in an academic radiology practice with residents and fellows
