Job Description:
A full-time opportunity is available for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Nephrologist to join a growing and collaborative nephrology group. This role involves providing comprehensive kidney care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with a multidisciplinary team and supporting a kidney transplant program. The position offers a balanced practice with a mix of clinical responsibilities, including dialysis management and transplant preparation, within a patient-centered and team-oriented environment.
Shift / Schedule:
Full-time position
Call schedule: 1:4 rotation
Average night call volume: 0-2 calls
Outpatient clinic: ~12 patients per day
Inpatient census: ~20-25 patients per day
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and manage a wide range of renal conditions, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, hypertension, and electrolyte disorders
Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Oversee and manage dialysis patients
Prepare and manage patients for kidney transplantation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including transplant specialists
Participate in on-call rotation and inpatient consult services
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Eligible, Board Certified, or Canadian Board Certified in Nephrology
Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
DEA certification
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
