Altoona, PA

Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm

Position Overview

A full-time Non-Invasive Cardiologist opportunity is available within an established and growing cardiovascular program. This role offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities while working alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and a heart failure specialist.

The position provides access to a well-supported clinical environment with a strong patient base and advanced cardiac services.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Provide non-invasive cardiology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions

Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic procedures, including:

Echocardiography

Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)

Cardiac monitoring and related studies

Participate in shared call coverage (approximately 1:5 rotation)

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and surgeons

Work closely with advanced practice providers (Client and NPs) for coordinated patient care

Contribute to both primary clinic and satellite clinic coverage as needed

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease

Completion of:

Internal Medicine residency

Cardiovascular Disease fellowship (non-invasive focus preferred)

Ability to obtain an unrestricted state medical license

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in non-invasive cardiology

Commitment to patient-centered care

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Details
