Primary Care Physician (Family/Internal Medicine) - Outpatient

A private practice in Long Island (Nassau County) is currently seeking a licensed Physician, with a Family or Internal Medicine background, for a promising opportunity at one of their facilities in Suffolk County. Responsibilities: Assess each patient upon their appointment Elicit and record information about patients' medical history Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on the patient's condition Analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations, and diagnose the condition of the patient Administer or prescribe treatments and medications Promote health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for the prevention of diseases Determine the need for a modified diet and physical activities, and recommend a plan Inoculate and vaccinate patients to immunize them from communicable diseases Perform surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency Refer the patient to other medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for the patient's well-being Oversee, review, supervise, and act in a preceptor role to family practice residents Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine Your privacy is important to us.
