Position Summary:

The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Childrens Wisconsin (CW), seeks a board certified / board eligible physician to join our expanding Pediatric Asthma/Allergy Section . We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

Position Highlights:

This position is located in Northeast Wisconsin as part of an innovative collaboration between Childrens Wisconsin, Bellin Health and ThedaCare . These top-quality health care organizations are partnering to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents in Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through a collaboration called Connected for Kids . This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with primary and specialty care providers at these organizations to improve patient outcomes. The connection between the organizations helps position our physicians to successfully support the needs of patients and their families.

  • Family-centered care: The Children's Wisconsin team is the only one of its kind. We offer care at our combined campus with Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin plus many other Children's Wisconsin locations around Wisconsin. That means we diagnose and treat both adults and kids, which can be helpful for families.

  • Specialized services: We provide unique programs and treatments for patients with complex conditions. These include our Primary Immunodeficiency Program, Asthma Plus Program, FARMS, EoE and Clinical Nutrition.

  • Leaders in immunology: We are a Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center for Primary Immunodeficiencies. That means we offer a full range of treatments for immune diseases. We are also committed to research that enables us to enhance our diagnostic testing and care.

  • Advanced testing: Our Clinical Immunodiagnostic & Research Laboratory (CIRL) offers some of the most advanced testing in the country. As a result, we deliver quicker and better results for you and your kids.


Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

  • Board certification or eligibility in Asthma/Allergy

  • State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.

  • Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.

Childrens Wisconsin and Childrens Specialty Group

Childrens Wisconsin is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The hospital, with locations in Milwaukee and Northeast Wisconsin, is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States. Childrens Wisconsin provides primary care, urgent care, emergency care, specialty care, mental and behavioral health services, community health services, foster and adoption services, child advocacy services and health insurance plans. Each year, the Childrens Wisconsin team has more than 6.5 million touchpoints with kids and families through medical care, advocacy, research and education. In Northeast Wisconsin, Childrens Wisconsin is expanding its services to provide increased access to outstanding pediatric subspecialty care. This includes a pediatric hospital, with a Pediatric Unit, Level III NICU and Infusion Center, which is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI. A multispecialty pediatric ambulatory clinic with on-site laboratory and radiology services opened in Appleton, Wis. in 2023.

Childrens and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin the Childrens Specialty Group (CSG) - are the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state, serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Childrens Surgery Verification Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, 72-bed Level IV NICU, Level IV Epilepsy Center, and a 72-bed PICU. In 2021-2022, CW and CSG had six specialties ranked by US News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology. With over 70 specialties and 675 providers, CSG providers had 220,000 outpatient visits at 13 regional care sites, 67,000 emergency department/trauma center visits, and over 9,000 admissions.
