This cancer center operates at the hospital providing specialized hematology and oncology services. The facility maintains established protocols for comprehensive cancer and blood disorder treatment delivery with coordinated care between outpatient and inpatient settings.

New Mexico offers diverse outdoor experiences including the Sandia Peak Tramway providing elevated views of the Rio Grande Valley and surrounding terrain. The state features White Sands National Park with its distinctive landscape and Meow Wolf Santa Fe, an immersive art installation. Visitors can explore historical areas like Old Town and Canyon Road, or participate in hot air balloon rides over the valley during sunrise hours.

The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care with inpatient consultations managing 18-22 patients daily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Clinical responsibilities include conducting clinic visits and inpatient consultations with a 60% hematology to 40% oncology patient focus, developing individualized treatment plans for hematologic and oncologic conditions, and providing 1:4 call coverage. Clinicians must maintain documentation through Epic EMR system for all patient encounters and treatment planning activities. Board certification in Medical Oncology is required with active New Mexico licensure preferred.
