Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Teleradiologist to join the second shift team . This role supports 24/7 diagnostic coverage, providing emergency radiology services to a Level 1 trauma center in Des Moines and additional hospitals across Central Iowa. Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM CST Schedule: 26 weeks per year (rotating every other week) No weekends or holidays Volume: 13-18 RVUs per hour Key Responsibilities Interpret a wide range of imaging studies, including: X-rays CT scans MRI Ultrasound CTA perfusion and stroke workups (Neuroradiology fellowship not required) Deliver accurate and timely reports to support critical patient care decisions Consult with physicians and healthcare providers regarding findings Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives Qualifications MD or DO with completed Radiology residency Board Certified in Radiology Licensed or eligible for Iowa medical licensure Experience in emergency radiology preferred Proficiency with PACS and radiology information systems Strong communication and collaboration skills Key Skills Ability to provide accurate diagnoses under time-sensitive conditions Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation with night shift premium Higher base compensation available for on-site coverage Comprehensive benefits package including: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Malpractice insurance Opportunities for professional development and increased earnings
