Intermountain Health is seeking a Faculty Cardiovascular Researcher at the Associate Professor or Professor level for a growing academic cardiologist in Salt Lake City, Utah. This opportunity is ideal for a midcareer clinicianscientist with demonstrated research productivity and active NIH (Rlevel) funding who seeks to balance approximately 70% clinical care and 30% research, with flexibility to expand protected research time as funding grows. The role focuses on general cardiology with openness to aligned subspecialty interests and offers access to robust research infrastructure, largescale data resources, and a highly productive academic environment, including 82 peerreviewed cardiovascular publications in 2025 alone, while supporting independent investigation, mentorship, and scholarly growth.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible in a Cardiology specialty

  • Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license

  • U.S. ACGME Residency

  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Healths credentialing process

  • Experience in conducting industry sponsored clinical research trials
