Salem Hospital, a community hospital and member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Clinic Physician to join our multidisciplinary Pain Management Center. This is a 0.75 FTE position focused on the evaluation, treatment, and longitudinal management of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient pain management services, including patient evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up care
Perform interventional pain procedures as appropriate to training and credentialing
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including anesthesiologists, physiatrists, behavioral health providers, physical therapists, and nursing staff
Utilize evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life
Document all patient encounters and procedures in the electronic health record in a timely manner
Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities
Provide occasional consultation support for inpatient pain management needs as appropriate
Qualifications
MD or DO degree and board certification (or board eligibility) in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or Psychiatry
Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (or equivalent experience) required
Eligible for or currently hold a Massachusetts medical license and DEA registration
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team collaboration skills
