About the Opportunity
Hawai'i Pacific Health is seeking a pediatrician interested and experienced in Child Abuse Medicine to join our collaborative group that provides comprehensive inpatient pediatric care for the islands of Hawaii.
What You'll Do:
Lead medical protection efforts at the only children's hospital in the Pacific
Provide expert consultation for physically abused children
Educate residents and medical students about child abuse and protection
Act as liaison to hospital staff and community resources in child abuse and protection

Qualifications:
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Pediatrics Residency
Eligible to obtain a medical license in the State of Hawaii
3 years of practice experience in child abuse or child abuse fellowship
We will consider combining the position with work in another field for the right candidate (for example, general pediatrics or hospitalist medicine)

About Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit medical center delivers an average of 6,000 babies per year and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani.
