Lakeview Hospital, part of the LCMC Health system, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonologist/Critical Care Physician to join our growing, collaborative team in Covington, Louisiana.

Position Overview
The Pulmonologist/Critical Care Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to patients with pulmonary and critical care needs. This role includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, clinical leadership, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for pulmonary and critically ill patients
- Perform patient evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Respond to patient calls, messages, and consultation requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including daily patient encounters
- Recognize and appropriately respond to emergencies in alignment with organizational protocols
- Identify and report signs of abuse or neglect in accordance with policy
Patient Access & Scheduling
- Participate in an equitable physician call schedule
- Provide patient access through clinic and hospital-based services using established scheduling templates
Safety & Quality
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Implement standard and transmission-based precautions to ensure patient and staff safety
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain a clean, safe clinical and hospital environment and report any concerns
Leadership (if applicable)
- Support provider engagement, communication, and operational alignment
- Assist with provider scheduling and call coverage planning
- Participate in performance reviews and provider development initiatives
Qualifications
Education & Training
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of accredited residency (Internal Medicine) and fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care
Licensure & Certifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
- Active (or eligible for) Louisiana medical license
- Required Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
