Job Summary: Our client is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to adult patients in underserved communities. This role focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management, patient education, and collaborative team-based care while supporting a faith-based mission of delivering patient-centered healthcare with dignity and compassion. Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive primary care services including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions Conduct physical examinations, review medical histories, and develop individualized treatment plans Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with medical standards and regulations Deliver preventive healthcare services including screenings, immunizations, and wellness counseling Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle practices Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, behavioral health providers, and community resources Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams Participate in quality improvement initiatives and organizational performance activities Support community outreach efforts and promote culturally competent, patient-centered care Participate in on-call coverage and after-hours responsibilities as assigned Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and all federal, state, and organizational standards Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active Louisiana medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment Current DEA registration and American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills Experience working with underserved populations, community health centers, or FQHCs preferred Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment Commitment to culturally sensitive, compassionate, and patient-focused care Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer systems About the Company: Our client is a mission-driven, faith-based healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality medical and behavioral healthcare services to underserved communities.
