Gastroenterology Physician

• Coverage Dates: 7a 12/21/2026 - 7a 12/28/2026
• 24-hour call coverage
• No clinic responsibilities
• Provider added to ongoing locum pool for future shifts

• Georgia medical license: Required
• DEA & CSR (GA): Required

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology: Required
• BLS & ACLS: Required

• Adult inpatient gastroenterology
• ERCP training preferred (only candidates with prior GI privileges at St. Mary's considered)
• Must be local

• 196-bed acute care hospital
• Inpatient care only (adult patients; occasional pediatric ER visits)
• EMR: Epic

• Cover all inpatient GI patients as handed off by local GI physicians
• Manage new ED or inpatient GI consults
• Return patients to local GI physicians after coverage
• "Bread and Butter" GI procedures; ERCP if trained

• 24-hour call coverage with rounding
• Weekend coverage included
