Locum - Physician - Oncology Greenville, SC

What You ll Do:

• Provide expert medical oncology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings within a growing cancer center.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings to enhance patient treatment plans.
• Manage blood disorders, bone marrow transplants, and coordinate testing and imaging as needed.
• Prescribe and oversee chemotherapy administration, working closely with specialized nurse oncologists.
• Collaborate with a team of seven physicians and six APPs delivering comprehensive cancer care.

Required Skills:

• MD or DO medical degree Board-certified or eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology.
• Licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina or eligible for licensure.
• Proven experience managing adult and geriatric oncology and hematology patients.
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and cancer treatment guidelines.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
• Familiarity with Bone Marrow Transplant management.
• Participation in tumor boards or multidisciplinary case conferences.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in medical oncology or hematology/oncology.
• Prior experience working in outpatient and inpatient oncology settings preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to start on April 28, 2026, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days.
• Willingness to travel; facility covers flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS rates.
• Maintain certifications and licenses current; documentation through EPIC EMR.
• No call during locum period; call expected once placed permanently, approximately one week out of every 6-8 weeks.
