This is a high-acuity position within a well-established, collaborative care team model. Schedule Requirements Vacation coverage - candidates must be available for: One week of coverage: 7/20 7/24 Weekend call: Either 7/18 7/19 OR 7/25 7/26 Current full-time model: Weekday and weekend call included Weekend call is Friday Sunday (from home or hotel; must be within 30 minutes of hospital) Position Overview Practice Setting Mid-sized acute care facility Care team model Cardiac cases performed both solo and within care team model Weekend coverage is MD-only Care Team Composition 12 MDs 26 CRNAs Average Monthly Cardiac Volume cases requiring cardiac anesthesia with TEE examination Case Mix Cardiac Cases Include: CABG Valve replacement Aortic surgery Advanced EP ablations Watchman procedures Majority Case Types: Cardiac General Surgery Orthopedics GI Robotics Required Skills & Procedures TEE capability required Arterial line placement (A-line) Central venous catheter (CVC) Pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) Regional anesthesia Credentialing Timeline: Estimated days Certification & Licensure Requirements Board Certified Completed Cardiac Fellowship TEE Certification Board Certification in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography ACLS BLS PALS Active Florida Medical License Active DEA prior to presentation Travel & Expenses Travel expenses covered per expense travel policy.
