Independence Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our highly respected surgical team at Westmoreland Hospital. Practice Highlights
· Established cardiothoracic surgery program with strong regional reputation
· Approximately 500 cardiothoracic procedures annually – including surgical and structural procedures
· Participation in a Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) highly ranked program, emphasizing quality outcomes and data-driven care
· Robust referral network and collaborative medical staff
· 22 bed ICU and 10 bed Step down with 24/7 intensivist coverage.
· Long established cardiology program including interventional, structural and electrophysiology program with 4 interventional, 9 general cardiology and 3 electrophysiologists.
Clinical Scope
· Full spectrum of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery
· Minimally invasive cardiac and thoracic procedures
· Off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) expertise supported
· Opportunity to further develop and expand minimally invasive and advanced surgical techniques
Call Schedule
• 1:3 call rotation, providing a balanced schedule with strong team support
• Call coverage supported by experienced APPs and hospital-based teams

· Dedicated cardiac surgery team, including cardiac anesthesiologist, perfusionists and specialized OR staff,
· Supported by a highly experienced and talented team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and dedicated clinical staff
· Modern operating suites and advanced imaging capabilities

Qualifications
· MD/DO with completion of Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship
· Board certified in Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgery
· Interest or experience in minimally invasive and off-pump techniques preferred
