Rheumatology Physician

Shift: 4 - 5 days/week preferred ( hrs/week)
Hours: Typically 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (flexible within range)
Start Date: May 1, 2026
Dates of Coverage: Ongoing (long-term locums)
Patient Volume: 12 - 16 patients/day
EMR: Epic
Credentialing Time: 90 - 120 days
Logistics Covered: Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance (vendor covered)
Location: Portland, Oregon

Scope of Practice Includes:

• Arthrocentesis
• Joint & soft tissue injections
• Diagnostic/therapeutic taps
• IV therapies related to rheumatology
• Bone mineral density studies

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)
• BLS required
• Oregon license preferred (open to providers needing OR license)
• Local/drive-in candidates preferred
• Ability to provide longer-term coverage preferred (1 2 weeks/month considered)
