Emergency Medicine Physician

Overview:

A leading healthcare facility is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Geriatric Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Norwich, NY. This opportunity offers flexible part-time scheduling with solo physician coverage in a collaborative clinical environment.

Shift Options:

• 6:30 AM 6:30 PM
• 6:30 PM 6:30 AM

Hours:

• 12-hour shifts
• Approximately 24 hours/week
• 2 days/week coverage

Work Details:

• Solo physician coverage
• Provider should be comfortable managing all ESD procedures independently
• Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions
• Preventive and routine patient care responsibilities
• Development and implementation of evidence-based treatment plans
• Coordination with interdisciplinary care teams
• Participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• Practice Setting: Hospital-Based
• Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric

Clinical Scope:

• Comprehensive patient evaluations and treatment
• Diagnostic testing interpretation and management
• Medication management and treatment planning
• Documentation and care coordination
• Participation in departmental meetings and collaborative care reviews

Requirements:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Active New York medical license

Preferred Candidates:

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine preferred
• Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine fellowship preferred
• FM or IM physicians with extensive Emergency Medicine experience
