Join Our Compassionate & Community-Focused OB/GYN Team in Brattleboro, Vermont Position: Full-Time Staff Physician - Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) Location: 17 Belmont Avenue, Brattleboro, VT 05301 Practice: Four Seasons OB/GYN at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital About the Practice Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated, full-time OB/GYN physician to join our stable, community-based practice. Our team is committed to providing comprehensive women's health care in a collaborative environment that values work-life balance, professional autonomy, and ongoing development. Join us in serving a diverse patient population in a scenic Vermont setting renowned for quality of life and excellent healthcare. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, full-spectrum obstetric and gynecologic services to a diverse patient demographic. Manage gynecologic consultations referred from primary care providers and certified nurse midwives. Perform a variety of office-based gynecologic procedures, including minimally invasive techniques. Maintain a steady surgical volume utilizing our three state-of-the-art operating rooms, participating in advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures. Conduct 3-4 clinic days per week, seeing approximately 12-14 patients daily. Allocate an average of three dedicated operating room days per month for surgical procedures. Provide physician backup for midwife-led obstetric care, including uncomplicated deliveries. Participate in a manageable call schedule (1 in 4 rotation), including support for labor and delivery. Contribute to a birth center that offers VBACs, water birth, nitrous oxide, and 24-hour epidural services. Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, and medical assistants. Practice evidence-based medicine within Vermont's legally protected reproductive rights environment. Engage in a long-standing, stable practice with the benefit of very low staff and physician turnover. Qualifications & Certification Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Ability to obtain and maintain medical licensure in Vermont. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Candidate Requirements and Preferences No more than 1-hour commute preferred. Not accepting visa candidates. Not open to locum tenens or locum-to-perm arrangements. Candidates planning to work concurrently in another position are discouraged.
