OB/GYN Hospitalist Opportunity

A hospital-based OB/GYN program in Arlington, Texas is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN for ongoing locum hospitalist coverage beginning November 2026.
Compensation:
$3700/24 hours
Position Details
Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology
Practice Setting: Hospital-based OB Hospitalist Program
Start Date: November 2026
Assignment Length: Ongoing
Coverage Type: 24-hour in-house call
Schedule:
4 6 shifts per month
24-hour shifts
7:00 AM 7:00 AM
No office call responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients in the Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED)
Manage unassigned OB/GYN patients
Monitor labor and interpret fetal heart tracings
Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
Serve as a safety-net provider for Labor & Delivery
Provide OB/GYN consultations to the Emergency Department and inpatient units
Evaluate and manage postpartum patients prior to discharge
Respond to obstetric emergencies and labor complications
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency drills
Follow evidence-based maternal and neonatal care protocols
Required Experience & Procedures
Vaginal deliveries
Cesarean sections
Emergency obstetrical procedures
Recent delivery and surgical experience required
Robotics training required through residency
Facility Highlights
369-bed acute care and surgical hospital
Approximately 1,300 1,500 births annually
20-bed Level III NICU
Private maternity suites
Two dedicated cesarean birth suites
Dedicated antepartum unit for high-risk pregnancies
Support Staff
Providers work alongside:
In-house Neonatologists
24/7 Anesthesia coverage
OB/GYN Hospitalists
Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
Family Medicine Physicians
EMR
Epic
Requirements
MD or DO
Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program with robotics training
Active Texas medical license preferred
Providers willing to obtain a Texas license will be considered
IMLC candidates accepted (LOQ required with presentation)
