Hematology/Oncology Physician

Start Date: 8/1/2026Contract Length: Through 7/1/2027

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM clinic hours
• Daily hospital rounds/consults during assigned weeks
• Assigned weekend hospital rounds/consults Saturday and Sunday (approximately 4 hours onsite per day)
• Possible travel up to 2 days per week to Somerset office (approximately 30 minutes from main campus); not required for all providers
• After-hours call overseeing APPs, including urgent patient matters and critical values as needed
• No requirement to return onsite after hours

Amount of Coverage Needed:

• 2 full-time providers
• Long-term coverage needed
• Locums-to-perm candidates highly preferred

Department Description: Hematology/Oncology

Position Details:

• No hospital admissions; consulting service only
• Call is for assigned/unassigned patients
• 30-minute call response time required
• Phone consults: 0-5
• Patients seen while on call: 0-5
• Call Ratio: 1:2

Support Staff Includes:

• 6 Infusion RNs for 16 infusion chairs
• 3 RN navigators
• 2 RN oral chemotherapy navigators
• 1 inpatient APP for hospital patients
• 1 outpatient APP for office patients
• 3 MOAs

Requirements:

• BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist
• Active Pennsylvania license preferred, or IMLC with LOQ in hand accepted
• Fellowship preferred

Pennsylvania Licensing Notes:Pennsylvania requires completion of:

• 3 hours of child abuse recognition and reporting education
• 4 hours of pain management and opioid prescribing education

Providers applying via IMLC must complete both requirements prior to licensure.
