Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Overview:

A leading healthcare facility is seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment. This is a hospital-based role with both scheduled clinical hours and on-call responsibilities, offering ongoing coverage through the end of 2026.

Position Highlights:

• Specialty: Interventional Cardiology
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
• Setting: Hospital (Inpatient + ED Consults)
• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Contract Length: 3 months (ongoing)
• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Call: 1 night/week + 1 weekend/month (negotiable)
• Weekend Call: Includes morning rounds

Work Details:

• Average 15 patients/day (weekdays), up to 25 (weekends)
• Daily census: patients
• Coverage need: Prefer Full time (40 hrs/week)
• Will consider PRN providers
• Ongoing support needed through end of 2026

Practice & Facility Details:

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based
• EMR: Epic & Meditech
• Department: Inpatient rounding + ED consults
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics (may see all ages)
• Travel: Travel & lodging covered

Clinical Scope:
Procedures Include:

• Cardiac catheterizations
• Coronary interventions
• STEMI management
• Pacemaker placement (temporary)
• EKGs & Echocardiography

Required Skills:

• Inpatient rounding
• ED consults
• TEE (preferred, not required)

Requirements:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Active MO license
• Minimum 1 year experience
