Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

ATC West Healthcare is seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible OB-GYN physician to join its established OB Hospitalist team in San Jose, California. This Full time permanent opportunity offers a collaborative, high-acuity maternal-fetal medicine environment with advanced neonatal, anesthesia, and pediatric support services in one of Silicon Valley s premier healthcare facilities. The position is ideal for physicians interested in inpatient obstetric care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and hospital-based women s health services.

Dates & Schedule

• Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
• Coverage Model: 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist shifts
• FTE Options:
  • 0.71 FTE
  • 0.780 FTE
• Residency Requirement:
  • Physician must reside within the immediate local area
  • Relocation assistance available if needed

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage
• Manage OB triage for:
  • Unassigned patients
  • Private physician requests
• Respond to Maternal-Fetal Medicine patient transports
  • Approximately 5 6 transports per month
• Assist with cesarean sections:
  • Average of 0 3 C-sections
  • Typically assist in 1 2 cases
• Perform:
  • Inpatient postpartum rounding
  • Shared antepartum rounding with MFM specialists
  • Gynecologic emergency evaluations for unassigned patients
• Deliver comprehensive obstetric hospitalist care within a high-volume hospital setting
• Collaborate with:
  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
  • Neonatology
  • Pediatric Hospitalists
  • Dedicated OB anesthesia team
  • Separate gynecologic surgical service

• High-acuity obstetric practice environment
• Facility resources include:
  • Level III NICU
  • 24/7 dedicated Labor & Delivery anesthesia coverage
  • 24/7 Neonatology coverage
  • 24/7 Pediatric Hospitalist coverage
• Multidisciplinary maternal-fetal medicine-led program

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible OB-GYN required
  • Board eligibility must be within 5 years of residency completion
• Active California license or license in process required
• DEA required prior to start
• Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
• Current NPDB Self-Query report required at presentation
  • Must be dated within 30 days
