Pathology opportunity at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. Located in North Central West Virginia where you can have a significant impact on the lives of your patients while enjoying the benefits of living in one of West Virginias top-ranked communities.
WVU Health System Medical Group (SMG) seeks a pathologist to join a well-established and expanding hospital practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, diagnostic, and clinical skills.
Duties: Successful candidates will work in a team environment with responsibilities in gross supervision and frozen sections; surgical cases including core, needle, GI and bronchoscopic biopsies; cytology; hematopathology; chemical pathology; blood banking.
Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Applicants must be board certified or eligible in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
