Job Description

A hospital off of the Mississippi River needs a hospitalist that can cover ER duties to help cover when their core team is unavailable due to sickness, vacation, etc. See details below and apply today! Details

Setting: ED/Hospitalist comfortable with covering ER duties in Guttenberg, IA
- Level 4 Trauma
- 72 hour shifts Friday-Sunday (in house)
- Annual ER volume: 2200
- 50% of total hospital admissions received from ED
- 10% of ED patients admitted per day, 5% of ED patients transferred per day
- No OB cases
- ED/Hospitalist will manage critically ill patients (no ICU on site - would transfer)
Schedule: 24 hour call, 8a-8p

Required

Board certified (ABMS, AOA)
Must have ED experience
Active IA license
Must be local candidate given sporadic nature of the need
BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP

Compensation

Paid weekly - pay negotiable
100% of malpractice insurance covered
