Job Description
We are seeking a Board Eligible Hematologist for a full-time, ongoing opportunity starting in early August. This position focuses strictly on Hematology/Oncology and includes both outpatient clinic and inpatient call responsibilities.
Key Dates & Schedule- Start Date: August 3, 2026
- End Date: Ongoing
- Clinic Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.
- Call Structure: Hospital Call: 1:4 weekly rotation (Friday 07:30 Friday 07:30).
- Rounding: 1 2 hours daily (Mon Sun), with additional weekday afternoon rounding from 16 00.
- Clinic Call: Shared weekday call for add-on consults and supervision of patients for absent providers.
- Patient Care: Management of acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients. Phone consults are common, but physical call-back is rare.
- Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies are required.
- Supervision: Each provider supervises their own patients in the Chemo Clinic.
- Support Staff: Work alongside 3 MDs and 3 APPs, with robust support from RNs, MAs, navigators, and infusion RNs. Radiation Oncology services are available on-site.
- EMR: Cerner.
- Certification: Board Eligible (BE) in Hematology/Oncology.
- Life Support: Active ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
- Clinical Focus: Hematology/Oncology specialty (no Med-Onc).
- Credentialing: 60-day timeline.
