The Department of Neurology at Duke University School of Medicine is seeking an additional Fellowship-trained & Board-Certified Vascular Neurologist to join its expanding Stroke and Vascular Neurology Division. Those with at least 2 years’ clinical experience and/or defined research interest are preferred. Individuals at various academic ranks are welcome to apply
- Eleven primary stroke faculty, ten secondary stroke faculty, and six stroke Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) practitioners
- Vibrant research environment with 25+M NIH research funding and 3+M American Heart Association research funding in the last years
- Active clinical practice at 957-bed Duke University Hospital with 6 stroke subspeciality outpatient clinics
- JCAHO-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
- One of 15 Centers of Excellence in Cavernous Malformation
- Multidisciplinary eye stroke program, both inpatient and outpatient
- One of 25 Regional Coordinator Centers for the NINDS Stroke Trial Network
- One of Six Sites for Stroke Preclinical Assessment Network (SPAN)
- Growing tele stroke network with 10 sites in North Carolina and Virginia
