About the Clinician's Workday The hematologist/oncologist will provide inpatient hematology and oncology coverage during day shift hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Hospitalists manage patient admissions; the clinician is primarily responsible for fielding phone calls from hospitalists regarding hematologic and oncologic patients. Call coverage is negotiable, with a potential schedule of one week and one weekend per month, conducted via phone only. Board certification in Medical Oncology is required for this assignment.
