The Family Practice Physician shall deliver quality care to attain positive health outcomes for all our valued patients with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity.

Position details:

• 1099, rate $155-175/hour
• 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
• Chenega covers medical malpractice insurance
• Patient Volume: Estimated 20 per day

• Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients seen.

• Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Purchase Referred Care vendors.

• Document services in theelectronic medical record system for patient encounters; complete administrative paperwork including electronic consults, co-signatures, completion of chart or Risk Management Reviews, unusual occurrences and peer review.

• Provide consultation to the Hospital Emergency Department health care providers on an as needed basis.
• Provide physician service and staff urgent care clinic, as needed.

• Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

• Board Certified in or Board Eligible in Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine.

• Successful completion of a residency program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Training Program.

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Active DEA license.
