An Emergency Medicine Physician plays a crucial role in the healthcare industry by providing immediate medical attention to patients with acute illnesses or injuries. They manage a wide range of medical, surgical, and psychiatric emergencies, making quick decisions to resuscitate and stabilize patients. They coordinate with other healthcare professionals for further management, follow-up care or admission of patients. To be eligible for board certification in Emergency Medicine, they need to complete a residency in Emergency Medicine after obtaining a medical degree.
