To become an Obstetrician, one needs to possess a range of important skills and certifications. Good interpersonal and communication skills are important as they interact with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals. They must be board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or other recognized boards. Prior to becoming an Obstetrician, a person may have roles such as a Medical Intern, Medical Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology, or even a Gynecologist.
