In the medical field, a Pediatrician holds an integral role in maintaining the health and wellness of children ranging from newborns to young adults. They provide preventative health maintenance for healthy children and medical care for children who are acutely or chronically ill. Pediatricians are involved in the detection of any health problems early on, carrying out diagnosis, and prescribing treatment measures which may include medication, therapy or surgery.
