Important skills they should have include exceptional communication to effectively interact with both children and parents, problem-solving to diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses, and empathy to understand and respond to children's physical and emotional needs. Before becoming a Pediatrician, an individual may have roles such as a Medical Intern, Resident Physician in Pediatrics, or a Pediatric Fellowship Trainee.
