Radiologist Remote & Hybrid Only Jobs in North Carolina

A Radiologist is a crucial contributor to the medical field who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques like X-rays, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and ultrasound. They interpret the images from these procedures and communicate with the rest of the medical team to design treatment plans. Radiologists also play a significant role in interventional procedures, guiding instruments like catheters through the body's blood vessels and other pathways to treat disease and deliver targeted therapy.

Important skills for a Radiologist include excellent communication, problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of human anatomy and physiology. They must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and complete a residency in radiology. Many choose to further specialize with a fellowship in a specific area of radiology. Many countries also require radiologists to pass a board certification examination, such as the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Before becoming a Radiologist, a person may have job roles as a Medical Intern, Medical Resident, or Radiology Fellow.
