Job RequirementsWork Experience
Completion of a neonatology fellowship.
Education
MD or DO Board-certified or board-eligible in neonatal-perinatal medicine. Licensed as a physician in the State of Michigan. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency with ventilators, CPAP, umbilical lines, and advanced monitoring equipment. Ability to react calmly and efficiently to life-threatening emergencies. Expert-level data interpretation and diagnostic skills for rapidly changing patient conditions. Highly effective in emotional, high-stakes communication with families.
The University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing is seeking per diem, enthusiastic and dedicated Neonatologists to join the Neonatology team. UMH-Sparrow is committed to improving access to medical care across the Mid-Michigan region.
Provide clinical care in a 35-bed Level III NICU and a 12-bed Special Care Nursery
NICU manages 700-800 admissions annually, with high-frequency ventilation, inhaled
nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
Team includes neonatologists, APPs, fellows, and residents
Participate in academic case conferences and QI initiatives with Michigan Medicine
